About Dana

I’m Dana Blankenhorn. I have covered the Internet as a reporter since 1983. I’ve been a professional business reporter since 1978, and a writer all my life.

I have learned a lot. Now I want to share my knowledge with you.

There are many ways in which we can do this. Here are two ways to get the conversation started:

  • I need some writing done. Let’s talk.

  • I have a business problem. Let’s talk about consulting. I know you won’t charge me until I’m satisfied with your work.

FICTION:

“The Time Mirror” is sub-titled “What would you do with a Pentium II?” It was written back in the late 1990s when Intel chairman Andy Grove first began hunting for new chip markets beyond the PC, and as the Internet made upgrades to desktop PCs less necessary.

The Time Mirror, which lets a computer look back in time, is brought to life by a quiet unassuming Rice University professor and his team of graduates and undergraduates. The book follows his growing knowledge of the Mirror’s power. He learns the past isn’t what it seems. He learns Moore’s Law quickly makes any breakthrough commercial. He learns about power and politics, love and, in the end, the truest love of all.

I hope you enjoy reading “The Time Mirror” half as much as I enjoyed writing it.
