This argument is about entertainment. It’s between the cable companies and the telecommunications company.
They want to own the entertainment.
Who’s best positioned to get into entertainment? Google. Why do you think the Bells are talking about “providing better content for our consumers and differentiate?” Underneath that means they want to charge for the bits.
They can charge for the bits if they label it as content.
e We need to be talking to the other side of the house and saying “this is your opportunity to talk about free markets.”
We have to talk about this in English.
We don’t have the resources to buy the commercials. We have to join
forces and establish our dialog. Where the disconnect lies is between
the consumer and Congress. Until we realign this we will see small
business forced out and the consumer confused. They don’t understand
the hubbub. The onus is on us to begin to talk to our representatives.
It’s up to you to do it. If you’re waiting for someone to save you it
won’t happen. You have to do it.
