CNN.
Not only did they over-hype the stupid Boston prank, not only did they throw their own company under the bus, but they then had the nerve to act like they weren’t associated with the company.
I happened to have the television turned to CNN when all this exploded in Wolf Blitzer’s face yesterday. He acted for all the world like this was some other outfit, when in fact it’s the same company he works for. Cartoon Network, Turner Broadcasting, CNN — same company, Time-Warner.
Oh, and by the way, who has been helping the Bush Administration put people into such a panic the last five years that anything — even a corporate marketing campaign — looks like terrorism?
Look in the mirror, Wolf.
They go on-air and panic people without checking things out. They
find out they’re the ones causing the panic. And then they act like it’s
someone else’s fault. I expect that kind of crap out of Fox. It’s
precisely this sort of New York-Washington "above it all" garbage that
Ted Turner founded CNN to fight against, in 1980. And now to see it on
his own air, it must be more than galling. Makes me embarrassed to be an Atlantan, frankly.
At the same time they were pulling this stunt, the "talent" at CNN
was making a big deal out of Joe Biden’s stupid comments regarding
Barack Obama (actually, regarding past black Democratic candidates).
You’re calling other people the same thing you’re guilty of, at the
same moment you’re guilty of it. Nice.
- Create panic for no reason. Check.
- No communication among corporate units. Check.
- Denial of responsibility even while you’re reporting it’s you. Check.
- Blatant hypocrisy, calling others what you are showing you are. Check.
The guy on the right says it better. CNN, today’s worst persons in the world…….
