I’m glad no one reads this blog because it means that what follows isn’t going to jinx it.

Kamala Harris is going to win this election.

Despite constant press efforts to boost tension over the result, it’s clear Democrats have all the advantages heading into this weekend. We have a more coherent candidate, we have more money, we have a disciplined campaign, and we have a better ground game. All are supposed to matter at the end, the press insists. We’ll find out if they do.

We are well past the point where James Comey torpedoed Hillary Clinton in 2016, and the daily headlines are still favoring Democrats. Contrast Trump’s MSG rally with Harris’ on the Ellipse. Everything I’ve seen indicates Democrats are winning the early vote, and that there is significant crossover voting.

Polls that make this a razor-thin race also show Democratic congressional candidates out-polling the national ticket, sometimes by a lot. I suspect that means the national numbers are wrong.

There is also no complacency this time. Just the opposite. We really are going to run through the tape.

All the other headlines are pointing toward the Democrats. The economy is looking very strong, meaning the disadvantage there has nearly evaporated. Roevember will be just as powerful in 2024 as it was in 2022. Trump is changing minds in the wrong direction with things like his garbage stunt and trying to have Liz Cheney killed.

If campaigns mean anything, if candidates mean anything, if debates and money and the ground game mean anything, America is about to save itself.

If I’m wrong, democracy was a crock.
